Foreign bands, stunned by Manila rains, give back

They came, they saw, they freaked out. In the end, they gave back.
Smashing Pumpkins, Snow Patrol and Tears For Fears, who were all in Manila last week for a series of concerts held during the  worst of the tropical monsoon, gave back to Filipino fans who showed "grace under extreme pressure," according to a member of Snow Patrol.
All three bands were scheduled to play the Smart Araneta Coliseum on the same week. Smashing Pumpkins was supposed to take the stage on Tuesday, Snow Patrol on Thursday, and Tears For Fears on Friday and Saturday.

Smashing Pumpkins bore the brunt of the non-stop downpour early in the week.
They postponed their concert to the following day, Wednesday.  Frontman Billy Corgan promised a "special show bonus" for fans who showed up.
It turned out to be an extended set (two encores, and fans said 30 songs). The band also agreed to play their early hits, which had been dropped from their live sets, said a fan who attended the
