Whew! to the thoroughly Amazing Spider-man

Premiere of "The Amazing Spider-Man" in Los AngelesThe Spider-Man franchise revamp is a revamp of Andrew Garfield proportions. That is to say that we can now interchange the word "epic" with the name of the guy who plays the new Spider-Man.
New director Marc Webb marks his niche in the web of things by making the new Spider-man more human(ly effective), sans the cheese and the web-shooting wrists of the last three Sam Raimi-directed films.
You see, Mr. Webb's last film was "500 Days of Summer."
Apologies to Tobey Maguire as the fans salivate over Andrew and give a very warm hello to Emma Stone who makes you kind of want to ask Peter why he went for Mary Jane later. Well, comic book fans know why.
Perhaps, this new beginning for the franchise is more attuned to the times, showing more intelligent youth, underlining their interest in the real world. Plus, Peter didn't magically grow muscle mass overnight, and he makes his own web shooter. So, yay!
The casting was also amazing—Martin Sheen playing the tough yet doting Uncle Ben and Sally
