Raymond Lee and writer/director Jade Castro flew to the States earlier
this month to represent their film "Zombadings: Patayin sa Shokot si
Remington" (Remington and the Curse of the Zombadings) at the Seattle
International Film Festival (SIFF).
"Zombadings" was screened on May 20 and then on June 1 and 2 under
SIFF 2012's Asian Crossroads program along with Marlon Rivera's "Ang
Babae sa Septic Tank" and films from China, Hong Kong, Japan, South
Korea, Thailand, Indonesia, India, Malaysia, Vietnam, Pakistan, Tibet
and Cambodia.
The May 20 screening marks Origin8 Media Corp's film's North American premiere.
Transcending audiences
"The audience was mixed in terms of age, gender, and ethnicity. They
were laughing from scene one so that was a huge relief," Raymond said in
an exclusive chat with Yahoo! Philippines OMG! describing how the SIFF
screenings went.
Locally released in 2011, "Zombadings" is a success story in local independent filmmaking, proving that independent
